Miracle at St. Anna

August 1944. Follows four black soldiers of the all-black 92nd Infantry Division who get trapped near the small Tuscan village of Sant'Anna di Stazzema on the Gothic Line during the Italian Campaign of World War II. One of the men will risk his life to save an Italian boy who lives in the city where the Waffen-SS have massacred most of the citizens of the town in retaliation for Italian partisan activity. A sculpted head from the Ponte Santa Trinita in Florence is a focal point.

Stomp the yard

After the death of his younger brother D.J. a troubled 19-year-old street dancer from Los Angeles is able to bypass juvenile hall by enrolling in the historically black Truth University in Atlanta, Georgia. His efforts to get an education and woo the girl he likes are sidelined when he discovers 'stepping, ' a traditional dance performed by African-American fraternities. He soon finds himself in the middle of a fierce rivalry between the top two campus fraternities. Both want and need D.J.'s fierce street-style dance moves to win the highly coveted national step show competition.
